Getting Ready For Sunday: How To Prepare For Sojourn Gathered, 8-26-2012
This Sunday we begin a brand new sermon series on 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, which are often called the “pastoral epistles” because these are short letters from Paul to two young pastors he was mentoring. They speak volumes about how the Church should relate to one another, the role of pastors, and God’s expectations for everyone in His Church, whether young or old, male or female.
Our pastor will teach this week from Titus 1:1-4, about “God, People, Place and Mission.” Come prepared to learn together.
Of course this is also the first week that Sojourn Midtown will worship at St. Vincent’s, the newly remodeled 830-seat former Catholic church building. If you missed the WDRB-TV report on it over the weekend, watch it here.
Songs we’ll sing together include:
- O God Our Help In Ages Past from The Water And The Blood. Hear it in full, right here.
- A City No Longer Forsaken from The War/The Mercy Seat. Listen to this song in full here.
- In The Shadow Of The Glorious Cross from Before The Throne. Hear it in full, here.
See you Sunday.
