Last Sunday we begin a brand new sermon series on 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus, often labeled the “pastoral epistles” because these are short letters from Paul to two young pastors – Timothy and Titus. We began in Titus 1:1-4, looking at “God, People, Place, Movement.”
This was also the first service for Sojourn Midtown at St. Vincent’s. If you missed Pastor Daniel’s blog post recap, featuring photos from several of our great photography servants, check it out.
This week our pastor will teach from Titus 1:5-9. We’ll learn about what God expects from elders — the leaders of local churches. Although most of us will not be called to pastor churches, every Christian should have a biblical understanding of this role.
Songs we’ll sing together include:
- Approach My Soul, The Mercy Seat from The Water And The Blood. Hear it in full, right here.
- Warrior from Over The Grave. Listen to this song in full here.
- Your Great Name. Hear a sound sample here.
- Our God. Hear a sound sample here.
See you Sunday.
