Getting Ready For Sunday: How To Prepare For Sojourn Gathered, June 27, 2010
This past Sunday Pastor Daniel began our Galatians mini-series. If you didn’t get to pick up a Galatians monthly devotional, you can download it here or pick up a free copy this Sunday. And if you missed the sermon:
This Sunday we’ll camp out in Galatians 3. This famous passage emphatically teaches that the righteous live by faith, not by the works of the law. Paul shows the relation of law to faith in Christ, and delivers a message that would have been startling in the first century, and that is liberating news for us today:
You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26-28)
Songs we’ll sing together include:
- “Lead Us Back,” from Before The Throne. View the lyrics by clicking “chord sheet” or listen to the mp3 by clicking “Preview” at sojournmusic.com.
- “Absent From Flesh,” which will be on our next full length worship CD, Volume Two of the Isaac Watts project.
- It Is Well With My Soul (Listen to Mahalia Jackson’s classic gospel version at Last.fm/YouTube)
See you Sunday!
When will Volume Two of the Isaac Watts project be released? Any approximate dates yet?
Not yet, unfortunately.
The band hopes to record this fall.
