Getting Ready For Sunday: How To Prepare For Sojourn Gathered, September 5, 2010

Well, you never know what’s going to happen at Sojourn Gathered, in any given service. Last Sunday at the evening services in the Midtown Campus, hip hop artist Shai Linne came up from his home in D.C. and teamed with the worship band to lead us in a musical Benediction. Many of you have seen the YouTube videos by now — if not, check them both out on sojournmusic.com.
We have more special things in store in the next few weeks, including Baptism Sunday on the 12th, and our 10 Year Anniversary on the 19th. For the Anniversary, we will throw parties at each campus, before or after each service. Stay tuned for more on that.

This Sunday our pastor will round out our three week study of 1 Timothy, part of the What Is The Church? series. We’ll particularly look at 1 Timothy 6:6-19. Read this portion beforehand and continue to follow the daily devotional (if you misplace yours at any time, you can always download it from the Resource section here at sojournchurch.com).

Songs we’ll sing this week include:
- “All I Have Is Yours,” from our Before The Throne album. Hear it in its entirety at Myspace.com/sojournrecords.
- “My Maker And My King,” from Before The Throne. Hear it in its entirety at Myspace.com/sojournrecords
- “Refuge” from our Over The Grave album. Hear a preview at Last.fm.
See you Sunday!
