Getting Ready For Sunday: How To Prepare For The First Sojourn Gathered Of 2011
For the past two years our pastors have led us, week by week, through every book of the Bible. Last week we concluded with exposition on the last two chapters of Revelation. So … what’s next?
This year we’ll hear sermon series on Genesis, the gospel of John, Romans 8 and more. We’ll start the year with a sermon on “Wisdom In Planning.” Each New Year’s, we all make plans.
To lose weight.
To get out of debt.
To start a new Bible reading plan.
To witness to our friends and neighbors.
To finish home repairs.
The list of New Year’s Resolutions goes on and on. What does it look like to apply biblical wisdom to our planning? Come this Sunday to find out.
And of course we’ll sing. Be prepared to ring in the new year by belting out songs like:
In Feast Or Fallow. Preview it from the In Feast Or Fallow album on iTunes
You Never Let Go. Preview it on iTunes
We Are Changed from our own Over The Grave album. Preview it from the Over The Grave page on iTunes
See you Sunday.
Here is a link to Matt Redman performing You Never Let Go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76ifTTuL4XI. Really good song.
Thanks Wayne!
