Getting Ready For Sunday: How To Prepare For The July 25 Sojourn Gathered

This Sunday we’ll conclude our Ephesians/Philippians sermon series with a sermon from Philippians 4. This passage focuses on peace and joy — two gifts that God promises His children. And it includes one of the most often quoted, poetic maxims of Scripture:
… whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Come prepared to listen, learn and to celebrate the peace that passes all understanding, and the unspeakable joy that comes from knowing “The Lord is near.”

Our CG is memorizing verse 4:8 this week as we prepare for Sunday gathered and have our CG on Sunday night! We all confessed we are not memorizing like some of us did growing up, and want to begin again! A hint to help: verse 8 in the last chapter has 8 adjectives our minds are to dwell on! I need any help these days, at my age, to memorize anything! =)
