Inside Sojourn – Brand New Podcast
We’ve just launched a brand spankin’ new podcast called Inside Sojourn. It’s free of course, and you can check it out at iTunes and other podcast directories. Inside Sojourn features interviews that will help you get plugged in and celebrate the stories of gospel transformation taking place in Sojourn Community Church.

Of course we already have a podcast dedicated to sharing sermon audios from Sojourn Gathered. But our first attempt at a short form interview podcast was Sojournmusic.com Radio, which I hosted. Inside Sojourn will feature all the topics we covered on Sojournmusic.com Radio, but will cover all the other ministries of Sojourn as well. Sojournmusic.com Radio will become exclusively devoted to bringing you occasional free music: lo-fi acoustic versions of hymns, live recordings and other rarities (like Brooks Ritters’ demo of “Hark The Herald Angels Sing,” which we just published last week).
For subscribers to Sojournmusic.com Radio, who have had to wait too long to hear new content, we’ve launched Inside Sojourn with long-form audio from two sessions of the Worship Track at Ambition, the Acts 29 Network’s 2009 Louisville Boot Camp:
Acts 29 Network Worship Leader Panel – Pastor Mike Cosper facilitates discussion with:
- The Journey Worship Pastor Josh Dix
- Indelible Grace founder/RUF Pastor Kevin Twit
- Bethlehem Baptist Worship Director Marc Heinrich
- Mars Hill Worship Pastor Tim Smith.
Acts 29 Network Worship Songwriting Panel – Pastor Mike facilitates discussion with:
- singer-songwriter Sandra McCracken
- Indelible Grace founder Kevin Twit
- SBTS Music & Worship Professor Chip Stam
- Sojourn songwriter/producer Neil Robins
- Mars Hill Worship Pastor Tim Smith.
We’re also kicking off Inside Sojourn with one repeat long-form seminar from Sojournmusic.com Radio:
Art For The Church, From The Church and Facing The Church — Harold Best, author of Unceasing Worship and Music Through The Eyes Of Faith, speaks to Christian artists at The 930 Art Center, Sojourn’s Germantown campus (Louisville, KY). In this 38-minute discussion, Best highlights the special conditions for creating art for the church as well as art from the church but for the world. He also discusses how Christians should view art facing the church.
And check out the first brand new interview recorded exclusively for Inside Sojourn. In this seven-minute interview, I talk with Community Group Leader Jesse Leightenheimer and group member Kody Gibson. Jesse and Kody share a great story of what Sojourn is all about — community, mission and gospel transformation. Learn how this community group practiced what Sojourn preaches about inviting strangers, reaching out to those who are hurting or without a place to call home.
Again, you can get it right now at the Inside Sojourn podcast — visit us on iTunes.
