Photo Blog: A Hundred Sojourners Collaborate On Sermon Series Art Exhibit

This coming Sunday I’ll start a new sermon series called “What Is The Church?” This five-week series will take us through 1 and 2 Timothy, and Titus. Join us at your campus for Sojourn Gathered, and we’ll give you a new, free monthly devotional based on this series.

Although we’ll learn a lot of things together from studying these letters from Paul to his young students in the faith, I hope most of you already know the basic answer to What is the Church?
We are.

In these photos, you’ll see our Art Director, Michael Winters, taking photos from the roof of our Midtown Campus, The 930 Art Center, this past Sunday evening. Fortunately he’s like Spider Man up there. We know he won’t fall.

Below him, you’ll see a ton of Sojourners from the 7pm Midtown service. It’s great to have brothers and sisters who are so game.

We had them form the shape of a building, to graphically illustrate that we, those who have been redeemed by Christ and put their hope and trust in Him, are the Church.

Seriously, is this cool or what?

Here is Michael’s finished photograph. We’ll use it in the logo for this Sunday’s sermon series:
Thanks to Chuck Heeke for the photo documentation of the event. And thanks again to everyone who took part in our art project. This is a great church family. See you all on Sunday!
