The name “TravelBlog” is a play on the name of our church family: Sojourn Community Church.

A sojourn is a trek, a quest. A journey from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, made possible by the grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Like the ancient children of Israel, like the writers of the Gospels, Acts and the epistles, we tell the story of God's work in our lives while we travel.

Photo Tour: Sojourn On The Free Acts 29 iPhone App!

Got an iPhone?  If so, did you know you can download the Acts 29 iPhone app for free?

And now, Sojourn is a part of this free app: sermons, music and much more.  Take the tour of this app, straight from my own trusty iPhone:

From the home screen you can download media from Boot Camps and other Acts 29 Events. And if you hit the “Churches” icon on the bottom …

The “Map” and “Directory” buttons will show you Acts 29 churches all over the world.  Beneath that, you’ll find a list of churches who are fully participating in this app.  Since this is new, right now you’ll see just three churches.  If you click on the Sojourn Church icon …

You can then touch the “Favorites” button to save Sojourn as a favorite.  You can also click “Start” to explore all the free content we’ve loaded (and will continue to load), like …

Sermon audio!  Follow along each week.  You’ll see all of our sermons, subdivided by their series (with artwork for each).  At the top of this page you’ll find our two Featured Series.  This will always be:

  • The most current/ recently completed series, from your Sojourn pastors
  • Guest Speakers.  Click that button to listen to sermons from our campuses, like Paul Tripp’s “The Realities of Marriage,” and Albert Mohler’s “Developing A Christian Response To The Challenge of Islam,” and Darrin Patrick’s “Leadership & Ambition.” Additonal speakers featured here include Russell Moore, Ed Stetzer, Steve Timmis, and others.

Click on the “Music” tab at the bottom and you’ll find …

20 original Sojourn songs, from our albums.  That’s over an hour’s worth of Sojourn Music, for free.

Click on the “Blog” tab and you’ll find …

This very blog!  You can read all of our articles, right from this app.  Then click on the “More tab …

From here, you can either click on the “Facebook” and “Twitter” tabs to visit with us in those social media places, or you can click “Give,” which will take you to the sojournchurch.com “Give” page for your regular Giving or your Vision Campaign commitment.

Or you can click on “Map” to see a map of Louisville.  The red dots are our three campuses.  Click on either of them to view the address/info for that campus.  From there you can “Get Directions” to our campuses, from wherever you are:

Or you can click on “Announcements” to see …

all of our upcoming events, from the sojournchurch.com calendar listings.

Pretty fly, huh?  Download the app for free! Or if you don’t have an iPhone, then … go get an iPhone and download the app for free! Note, iPhone itself is not for free :-)
