Sojourn Looking For An Equipping Director And Campus Pastor, by Bryce Butler
Both of these positions posted are current needs within Sojourn. With the multi-site shift that is currently underway, we have had to evaluate how we are structured as a leadership – specifically for the care of the church body. With multiple locations and an increased membership, we see the importance of pastoral oversight at each campus location.
With our first site in St. Matthews, it is manageable for us to functionally support both locations with our current leadership structure but as we consider the future and pray for the Holy Spirit’s leading, we recognize the need for men to emerge that can preach God’s Word and shepherd God’s people.
These two positions are unique in that there will not be a deadline for submission. Right now, we cannot even afford the Equipping Director as a church and are praying the right man emerges and with him, the funding to support his salary. Please pray for these men and this process as well. We will keep these positions posted until the right men emerge.

I just want to reiterate a couple of things: with both of these positions we are looking for a man that has some pastoral ministry experience – predominantly within leadership, administration, and pastoral care; they must be men with a desire and ability to teach God’s Word; and they must be organized and able to structure, lead, and organize a team. With the Equipping Director, we are looking for someone with extensive pastoral experience…someone that has 10-15 years of ministry experience. A seasoned man full of wisdom.
