The name “TravelBlog” is a play on the name of our church family: Sojourn Community Church.

A sojourn is a trek, a quest. A journey from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, made possible by the grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Like the ancient children of Israel, like the writers of the Gospels, Acts and the epistles, we tell the story of God's work in our lives while we travel.

Sojourn St. Matthews

The new Sojourn site in St. Matthews held its first of two preview services this morning at 10am. The second will happen next week and then the official launch will be August 9! Please remain in prayer for this site and the people who will, by God’s grace, hear the call to return to the Lord through the ministry there. Curious what it looks like over there? Take a look:

today we sat in the listening room with my 91 year old mother, because she doesn’t like the music so loud in the sanctury, and i missed the word monitors. i know it’s a listening room, but i still felt i wanted to sing and pray. if a monitor is not possible, maybe the prayers and songs printed up for the listening room. she enjoys the service and i can’t leave my mom alone, but i felt very out of touch. maybe you can come up with an idea. thanks!

Thanks for the input, Sandy. We’ll do what we can to make sure the Power Point works or to print out song sheets in the future. Thanks again, and sorry for the inconvenience!
