Sojourn’s First College Fall Retreat
If there’s one truism in college ministry, it’s “You HAVE to go on fall retreat.” This is Sojourn’s first College Fall Retreat and we are trusting God for big things.
First, it’s a time to make some great friendships. The one hour car-ride, the basketball/ultimate games at midnight, and the ample free time all provide great opportunities to get outside yourself and make some new friends.
Second, it’s a time to breathe a little and trust God for Sabbath rest. The retreat is over U of L’s fall break, so it’s a great chance to put down the busyness of life for one weekend and experience the rest that God calls us into.
Third, it’s a time to draw near to God. There is something unique about experiencing God’s creation, hearing God’s Word, and singing his praises together with older believers. In Matthew 5:7, Jesus promises that “whoever seeks will find.” We are praying that God will work in powerful ways in students lives this weekend.
