The name “TravelBlog” is a play on the name of our church family: Sojourn Community Church.

A sojourn is a trek, a quest. A journey from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, made possible by the grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Like the ancient children of Israel, like the writers of the Gospels, Acts and the epistles, we tell the story of God's work in our lives while we travel.

Sojourn is honored to count among its members and worship leaders Brooks Ritter, who debuted his solo album, The Horse Fell Lame, at The 930 Art Center last year. WFPK has given a lot of airplay to The Horse Fell Lame, and WFPK DJ Laura Shine even named it one of her Top Ten Albums of 2008.

Now Brooks is about to make his first solo appearance at Live Lunch, the weekly radio series that is recorded live before a studio audience every Friday at noon, broadcast over WFPK’s 91.9 FM and archived at wfpk.org. Check out all the details there. And if you can, go show your support to Brooks this Friday.
