The name “TravelBlog” is a play on the name of our church family: Sojourn Community Church.

A sojourn is a trek, a quest. A journey from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, made possible by the grace of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Like the ancient children of Israel, like the writers of the Gospels, Acts and the epistles, we tell the story of God's work in our lives while we travel.

VIDEO: The Christ Hymn & Sojourn’s New Colossians Sermon Series

I’m excited.  I’ve been looking forward to working through Colossians with my Sojourn family ever since we launched the New Testament sermon series earlier this year.

Yesterday at Sojourn Gathered we showed everyone our video preview for this series.  If you missed it, or if you’re like me and you want to see it several more times, then watch it here.  Filmmaker Chip Lewis really rocked this out, by the way, so thanks to God for blessing him with such creativity.

Later this week, visit this blog to hear Rebecca Dennison talk about using Colossians 1:15-20 to write the song you hear in this video, from our album These Things I Remember.  And then get ready for next Sunday, when we’ll dive into Colossians and give everyone a new, free companion devotional study.

About Daniel Montgomery Daniel Montgomery is the founder and Lead Pastor of Sojourn Community Church. He is responsible for teaching, leadership and vision within Sojourn.

Praise God for your preaching and leadership Daniel! Me and my girlfriend are reading Colossians everyday this week to prepare. We can’t wait. We’re praying for you!
